PA Grand Canyon

Today we took a 400 mile round trip ride to the PA Grand Canyon.  We went with our HOG club and had 71 bikes on the ride. We took a route that took us through Selinsgrove and Williamsport PA. My brother Mike went with us on the ride. He hasn’t been riding for awhile but had a great time. The HOG club ride ends at the destination then you can come home as you wish. Wade, Mike and I came home on our own and took a different route home through Lock Haven, Lewistown, and Mount Union. It was a great test run for our big trip this week. We want to ride approximately 300 miles a day.

Big Motorcycle Trip

This picture was Wade and I many years ago at Kennebunkport Maine on a motorcycle trip. We are about to embark on a cross country trip. I am hoping to use this blog as a way to document our trip and let our family and friends keep track of our adventure. I don’t want to broadcast on social media about our trip until we are back home.

We are planning to leave June 4th and take 6 weeks traveling.  We are going to take Rt 30 to Chicago.    Then we will start out at the beginning of Rt 66 and take it to the end in Santa Monica CA. We will ride Rt 1 up the California coast. Then we will take Rt 50 from coast to coast at San Francisco to Ocean City, Maryland.  Then work our way back home to PA. We will be taking side trips along the way as well.
