Day 11 Oklahoma into Texas

Wade and I were on the road before sunrise this morning. We made good time getting back to Shroud where my bike broke down. It gets so hot that by 2 pm you can’t hardly take the heat to ride. So our goal is to get on the road early so we can get about 300 miles before 2 pm. This morning I actually got chilly and wore my leather coat for awhile.

The Rock Cafe is in Shroud OK.

Arcadia OK has the Round Barn, built in 1898 and Pops which has 600 flavors of soda.

Oklahoma City National Memorial was a moving place.

Words can’t describe how you feel remembering that horrible day.

Harley, the owner of Sandhills Curiosity Shop was quite the character. He lost his wife Annabelle in 2014. He certainly had Wade and I laughing and he sang a song to us. Harley is enjoying life even though part of it is probably a little foggy due to the medical marijuana he enjoys. Wade was just flabbergasted how many dispensary’s there were all over Oklahoma. You have to get a medical waiver in Oklahoma to purchase marijuana and he asked Harley what had everyone sick in Oklahoma 😂

We made 325 miles today to Shamrock Texas. We have driven 2180 miles so far on this trip.
