Riding from Santa Maria to Morro Bay was through farm country. We were amazed at the beautiful farms. Then Rt 1 heads to the beach. The ride up Rt 1 from Cambria to Carmel is absolutely breathtaking. It was cool around 60-68 degrees.
One of my favorite stops was to see the Elephant Seals. We watched two play together, many napping and some swimming. It was fun watching them cover themselves with sand.
We had lunch in Big Sur and met some other folks from PA on motorcycles. They had trailered their bikes out to Utah.
There was quite a bit of construction on Rt 1 and many spots were one lane so it took a lot longer than normal. As soon as we started inland the temperature immediately started climbing. Tomorrow we will get on Rt 50 and maybe get to Nevada.
